The fastest record in dog walking backwards at a speed of 6.18 m/s, according to the Guinness Book of World Records in 2012, belonged to the dog Shadow.
But then our Kota and her mom Ana Odak signed up. Kota entered the Guinness Book of World Records in 2020. With her full 10 dog years, Kota recorded the fastest dog walk backwards in history with a speed of 2.42 m/s.
Ana, who has been training dogs (and sometimes people) for fifteen years, decided to do something incredible. The Guinness website states that Ana wanted to break the record with her dog Kota, a Border Collie.
Ana and Kote have been training for a month for this record breaking attempt, training about once or twice a week. Ana used Kota's favorite toys during training, and the distance they covered was in the range of 2 to 10 meters. Holding different training sessions was key to keeping Kota motivated.
Special importance is given to Kota's health and mobility considering her age and the arthritis that comes with it. In addition to exercise and a healthy diet, Kota was receiving Woff Woff CBD oil, which we believe contributed to this great result. After regular use of CBD oil, Ana reported improvements in Kota's movement, greater vitality, and the absence of occasional soreness.
Kota is a real star, with acting experience in films and commercials. She also works as a therapy dog and likes to entertain children and the elderly with her tricks and dog dances.
According to mom Ana, Kota enjoys eating and bathing - these are her absolute favorite activities. But most of all, she likes to be with Ana. For Ana, the title of Guinness World Record holder is a dream come true and the biggest achievement she achieved together with Kota.

We wish Ana and Kota many more happy years together, and who knows, maybe another record! 🙂
